The John Good Group of Companies is celebrating after learning it has been shortlisted for a prestigious business award. The Company has just been told that it is in the running for a Hull Daily Mail Business Award and couldn’t be happier about it.

The Awards are run by the area’s biggest-selling newspaper and recognise the achievements of businesses from across the Humber region, whether they’re large or small and regardless of sector. The John Good Group of Companies was entered for the ‘Business of the Year – Large 150+ Employees’ category and the entry highlighted the company’s dedication to its long-term growth strategy in the face of a number of challenges.

Now in their 12th year, the awards are designed to showcase all that is good about the local business community, providing firms of all sizes and in all sectors with the chance to shout about their achievements and reward their staff during what continues to be a challenging economic climate.

Managing Director of the John Good Group of Companies Alan Platt said: “It is tremendously satisfying to know that the hard work and effort of all our staff is being recognised in this way and highlighted as an example of one of the region’s best large businesses.

“During these past few years, the dedication of our workforce and the robust growth strategy we implemented has meant the business has continued to develop, despite the financial climate and the other challenges we have encountered.

“We’re very much looking forward to the awards evening and are sure a lot of people will have their fingers crossed for us on the 15th November.”
